About the event
In recognition of Women’s History Month, Destiny of Our Daughter’s Inc. is hosting “Navigating Our Journeys,” a series of deep dive discussions, presentations, and workshops focusing on the personal, academic, career and entrepreneurship journeys of women of color and their psychological, emotional, physical, and social well-being, experiences, and needs. Each thought-provoking discussion, presentation, and workshop will focus on strategies, ideas, tips, and innovations to create opportunities and growth and wealth mindsets. These networking ZOOM sessions will be held each Saturday in March for attendees to meet, form alliances and network.
Navigating: Your Life’s Blueprint

This workshop will focus on creating your life’s blueprint, planning, setting and achieving goals and the Personal S.W.O.T., strategies to turn weaknesses into strengths and threats into opportunities. Topics will include mentoring, back-up plans, rewards, standards, and holding yourself accountable and responsible.
Creating a Bold Vision for Your Future

This deep dive discussion will focus on setting yourself up to win by creating a bold vision for your future. Topics will include bringing your best self forward, cultivating courage in the workplace, creating opportunities for yourself, perseverance, strategic planning, determination, knowledge, skills and abilities, goals, on becoming G.O.A.T., and achieving goals
Psychological, Emotional, Physical and Social Well-being: Know Your Worth

This deep dive discussion will focus on psychological, emotional, physical and social well-being, balance, personal tine and space, goals, dreams, being your inspiration, defining yourself for yourself, standards, a seat at the table, setting your own table, authenticity, finding your voice, visibility and being heard, the Personal S.W.O.T., talent, passion and purpose, creativity, mentoring, and carving out personal space, boundaries, and understanding the value of “knowing your worth.”
Navigating the Trauma Abyss: Black Women, Stress and Trauma

This deep dive discussion will explore the intersectionality of race, color, ethnicity, and the lived experiences of Black women relative to stress, trauma, exclusion, visibility issues, and other issues in the workplace, society, and education. Topics will include coping strategies, psychological, emotional, physical and social well-being, support resources, voices, and survival. Attendees will be able to share their lived experiences.
